This becomes the aesthetics of an artwork, which no longer relies on form and shapes. The transparent character of polyurethane becomes more interesting when it is supported by light. The transparent material also allows working on both sides of its surface and enables the researchers to work on the artwork layer by layer. The polyurethane technique has uniqueness especially in terms of new material development. Simultaneously, exploration for materials will create new mediums for the artwork and allow to impose various techniques onto the material.
Iqbal Ali Azraie Copyright (c) 2022 2022-05-26 2022-05-26 2 2 1 7 Exploring the Interactive Model of Malaysian Museums in the Context of the COVID-19 Pandemic http://8.218.148.162:8081/AE/article/view/115
Similar to other countries in the whole world, Malaysia is also affected by the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic. This deadly virus spreads like wildfire and at present, above one hundred million people are infected. The number of visitors has somehow been significantly influenced by this. Although some of the policies and procedures implemented by the government have been followed and implemented by the Penang House of Music activities, the number of attendees to this interactive museum reveals a decreasing trend compared to the previous years, before the pandemic. Undoubtedly, all countries are affected. Therefore, the present COVID-19 epidemic affecting the world community is without a doubt bringing a potentially devastating consequence on the museum industry. The impacts were also acknowledged by Penang House of Music in ways in which they could not predict the outcome in the current situation, especially on financial woes. Museum institutions around the world have demonstrated versatility and innovation in introducing numerous approaches to find the solution in the struggling situation they are currently facing. The researcher hopes that this interactive museum can become a role model and great example for other museums, especially in Malaysia when it comes to displaying exhibitions that are very appealing and can surely attract a significantly larger number of visitors.
Karim Zamri Raha Radzi Copyright (c) 2022 2022-06-17 2022-06-17 2 2 8 16 Sleep Education Program and Related Policies in Uganda Secondary Schools http://8.218.148.162:8081/AE/article/view/116
The study used the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI), a standardised instrument developed by Buysse et al., 1989), factors affecting sleep quality questionnaire (FASQQ) and psychological wellbeing questionnaire (PWBQ) for students to collect quantitative data. Qualitative data was collected using semi-structured interview, Focus Group Discussion and Observation guides. The researcher conducted interviews with teachers (head teachers, Directors of studies and form teachers) and inspectors of schools as key informants. Twenty four Focus group discussions and interviews were conducted with students. To determine the reliability of the instruments for this study, Cronbach’s alphas were calculated using SPSS. The Cronbach’s alpha for the PSQI was 0.72, FASQQ was 0.73 and PWBQ was 0.71 which indicated moderate internal consistencies for the instruments with these specific samples.
Patricia Ifeyinwa Sessanga Copyright (c) 2022 2022-05-17 2022-05-17 2 2 17 26 The Effect of Gender on the Biological Orientation of Deaf Learners http://8.218.148.162:8081/AE/article/view/117
Evidence from Kenya was that the performance of learners who sat for the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education in biology was relatively low (Owino, Yungungu, Ahmed & Ogolla, 2015; Siringi, 2010) since 2004. According to the Owino et al. (2015) and Siringi (2010) there was a decline in the pass rate in biology from about 12.03% in 2004 to 5.88% in 2010. Other studies outside Africa have also shown variance in the attitude and achievement in biology. For instance, Dong (2002) reports a low interest and moderate attitude towards biology among non-native English speaking high school learners in New York City who wrote the 1998–1999 school year Regents biology exams. Native English speaking learners achieved higher scores and showed a more positive disposition towards biology than their non-native English speaking counterparts. While the above studies reveal the performance in biology among non-deaf learners, it is quite unfortunate that studies which assess the performance of deaf learners in biology is scarce.
Patricia Ifeyinwa Sessanga Copyright (c) 2022 2022-05-20 2022-05-20 2 2 27 33 The Architectural Details of the Mosque Reflect islamic Teachings http://8.218.148.162:8081/AE/article/view/118
The relics and buildings left over from the behavior of their predecessors are the most useful tools in rereading the spiritual and epistemological foundations of Islamic architecture. Iranian architecture is the result of the spiritual view of our benevolent ancestors, so any time these works are re-examined, it can pave the way for the discovery of hidden concepts in its body; Concepts that have emerged from Iranian and Islamic spiritual teachings and have been expanded in material form. One of the most important teachings of Islamic architecture is annihilation in God. The connection between the arts is a field that can lead the various components of the universe to a transcendent unity. In the golden age of Islamic architecture in Iran, this unity and harmony has not crystallized in the ideal state. For example, we can refer to the construction of Sheikh Lotfollah Mosque in Isfahan. In this mosque, what we find in painting is what we see in the ruling Eslimi scripts, and what is seen in appearance is what is felt inside the walls. Most important of all, what is seen inside the building is the same as what we see outside.
Wilbrodah Ignatius Sessanga Copyright (c) 2022 2022-05-20 2022-05-20 2 2 34 39
