Abstract

Urinary tract infections are more common in women because their biology is different from that of men. Catheter-associated urinary tract infection is a nosocomial infection, and the primary cause of onset is independent of gender. In this study, gender susceptibility to catheterary-associated urinary tract infections due to white urine and nitrite analysis in hospitals was studied. The results showed that women were more likely than men to develop catheterary-associated urinary tract infections. The infection progresses more quickly in women than in men with catheters.
